Live artist's who dosen't mix at live

Hey...usually all live artists mix their own 2 or 3 tracks...and that's soo...
But what about artists who just press play on a pre-mixed set (or just have tracks alone with fade in fade out) who only uses a midi controller and a synth live?
I know that MFG did their live with 3 synths...
do u guys know artists who play only synth and controllers at live and dosent overlay tracks?

I can say I see many live (as below), and the only "real live like we think is real" was IM. I will list some, just to show that its pointless to ask this kind of things. Most of them were very enjoyable, and I would pay again to see the "live" again.

Son Kite is like "pre-recorded tracks with a synth"... 
I´m not saying about u, but sometimes ppl like to see a big mixing desk with many audio cables. But it do not make it more live imo.
OOOD must be "hors concours" for this.

Back in the day when me and my friends were out in london most weekends, we understood Live PA meant Live Personal Appearance, and accepted that we paid to see the guy/s/girl/s on stage playing their music. In a club with limited space the amount of equipment the artist can use is not great.
Some of the best Artists and experiences i have in seeing these, have been at bigger venues where clearly there is alot more going on on the stage with more gear and better connection with the artist as you can see what they do reflects in what you hear (if you take the time to watch and not just dance your socks off ;-)
However things are what they are and for me it's always good to see the person up there playing the tunes you like, fully live or not....
Artists i saw fully live include,
Juno Reactor,
Cosmosis
Total Eclipse,
ManmadeMan,
Logic Bomb,
Atmos,

Playing semi live (no one can play 100% live) requires the organizers paying what it cost. 99% does not have those kind of money unless its huge commercial Festivals where we all know its the same few names that gets booked year after year (even though they just hit a button).
I play "live" via ableton and controllers and keyboards and manipulate my music so it's different each time. It's not live as a band playing live but it's far better than pushing "enter" and pretending you turn knobs. |

More gear does not mean they played live. And there is no such thing as playing"fully" live in this scene. |

Colin, I do not doubt Son Kite can make a live. But when I saw their live, its was much more like "pre-recorded tracks with synths". The epic moment must be the violin, that given my expectation, was really disapointing. But at the end it´s much more about music. And Son kite is awesome!
It´s matter of taste I guess. I really liked this "live" from IM at KCRW. I´m more into playing instruments than playing varios stems and loops.

I don't get why ppl care about love anymore.'it's been discuses so many time and ends up with the same conclusion. Isn't it about the music? And Elysium, I've seen live acts. I saw a local one at a gig recently. 4 guys all programming the gear via a mixer including 9u of modular being patched live. Just because u haven't seen it done doesn't mean it can't be done. U are not God of this scene, actually you're b1tching and invalid proclamations from years gone by that you were giving up on this scene only to come back and try to milk the cow more only shows how much of a hypocritical a**hole you are. The best thing that could've happened to this scene was u never entering it.
