Hi ppl!
Can you tell me the difference between a Live Act and a Live PA? If there's any... because I have heard the both terms.
I'm not sure about this, but I think that a Live PA is more basic, is just an Artist playing his own music without any other instruments... is it so?
Enlight me, please!

P.A. stands for Performance Artist if I'm not mistaken.. So in theory it should be more of a show where the artist (or the band) uses more stuff than just a laptop.. And here it becomes complicated.. Hehe.. See the numerous discussions here around about the phenomenon.. Just use the search tool.

OK, since we're having this conversation again 
A "PA System" is a Public Address System (as the e-tard said).
A "Live PA" is a Live Public Appearance - ie. the artist Appears in Public to perform Live. This is supposed to be distinct from a plain "PA" where a celebrity/artist just appears in public to sign autographs etc. but in the trance scene the two terms are generally interchangeable, as who wants any of our autographs, ffs! 
To answer your question, in the trance scene there is no difference between a Live Act and a Live PA. In both cases, the artist is more than likely just Acting as if the music is Live.
