Mate I actually used to stay in Israel for a longer period of time (more than a month) and went there when most other people was too scared to go to Israel (When USA invaded Iraq in 2003).
And I have visited israel countless times since 1995  |

I think this has been taken way off track. THe track in question is a great piece of work. It has power, drive yet its not aggressive.
Maybe other ppl can learn also that a Jihad can be powerfull, driving but not agressive. As we have had many good examples in the recent past.
I find also the Name has no real negative connotation. Its up to everyones indivial interpretation.
I hope ppl read this post fore what it is my opinion and not the law.

I made one track with Oscuro call "Papa is Dead" from and with alots of respect to this great man (Jochanan Paulus The 2) that die in this year and belive me its not (i hope) heart eny one beacuse that is coming from this respecting place . The Jihad (Of the Islam - I.Madness) will keep and being with the name
or with out so .. Its Just a names man , Be cool . Artists that produce they music front the computer 10 or 12 hours a day dont want to heart eny one (They dont think that way and dont have time for this) . Think about !

Why are u still talking? This question itself doesn’t make sense to me; track is named, “Jihad of Islam”,
not "Jihad of Islam is good" ,nor "Join Jihad of Islam " ... i don’t frigging see anything offensive in this name to anyone ... either Muslims or Jews or whoever ... listen to it when it gets out ... if its a good track , then its good ... if u don’t like it , i guess its not your style. That’s it!
This topic is creating so much negativity ... maybe that was the intent of a person who posted it ... so who is wrong in this situation? Artist? Or ppl who just waiting for excuse to release their own negative energy on to whomever, without even thinking?
Or everyone just wants to talk about politics? And discuss international problems? Well according to forum rules that would be off topic!

Come on now. I dont really care if he's a nice guy or a peaceful guy. I am sure he is. But to use a name like "Jihad of Islam" (especially when your from Israel) is not the most well thought through idea.
You guys can shout and get angry as much as you want to. He did not just take the name because it sounded cool. He used it because he wanted to make a statement and to be political! I dont buy anything else. It's just way too obvious.
Maybe I should use a track name regarding Israel and the current situation?
But please it's not political. It's just because it sound cool. Yeah sure! |

First. Who's talking about the music? I am talking about the track title!
No it was not my intention to spread negativity. I just reacted to a very political tracktitle. Especially when it come from a Israeli artist.
So according to you it's not ok to debate a track title because it's too political? But it's ok to use that title as long as no one say anything against it! I beging to get the picture that some of you are very afraid of discussing anything that have to do with Israeli artists and their Political statments.
And no matter how much you try to make it look like that the title is not meant to be anything else than a track title I got to say it again. It's nonsense! The track title is very political and surely send out a statement. Now you can like it or not and think I am stupid and spreading negative energy and whatever you like to think about me when I dare to critisise an Israeli artists in this forum. The reality is that Iron Madness did not really think before he used that title. And if he did think then he could be nothing but very aware of that the title is very Political and a stament! |

I dont stop anything as long as you keep repeating that it's only a name. It's not! So cut the nonsense and stand up to what it is. At least be honest about it instead of these endless denies. The worse I know are people that dont stand behind their actions and are honest about their intentions!

As I wrote I dont know but to deny that the name is not the most smart name for an Israeli artist is to close the eyes to reality. As I said maybe Iron Madness did not think it through good enough before he decided to use such a name. Or maybe he did think it through and wanted to make a stament. That's my point and has been my point fromt he start.
I am not saying he's a bad person. I never said that! I just think he's out of line with such a track title simply because it is very easy to misunderstand his intentions (whatever they are) when he use it. And I am not in one second doubting that some people in the scene will be offneded by such a track name just as I am sure some Israelis would be offended if someone used a trackname that pointed fingers at Israel. I dont know how more clear I can explain it. I hope you get my point? |
