most of these r really shitty emulators ,,, except for maybe discovery , zeta and the korg ones.also the minimoog is ok ,,, but in general most of these hardware emulators r really useless in my opinion , i mean if u ever tried the real versions ,, u will know there is a HUGEEE difference in the sound ,,,
also i think albino is sort of like the virus ,, almost similair concepts i think

Theres a video out on a guy comparing the discovery vs a nord, in realtime.. and although they are similar there is a deffinate difference in the sound...
then again its silly to expect the same sound out of a 100 dollar plugin vs a 1000 dollar piece of harware...

Yes, and the purpose was never to reach the same quality point as oferred in hardware
Its more like an alternative for those who cant buy it and want to "simulate" it as best as it can
Or for those who wants to test around before actually buying the hardware piece itself
Or even just o bring back old memories of those synths you can't find it on the stores anymore, like the FM7 emulating the Yamaha DX7, or the Korg MS-20 software version and many others
I do agree though, that most of them don't reach a satisfactory response, even for emulating standarts. But its a nice effort anyways
Probably the best ones are:
-the whole Korg collection
-FM7
-Discovery
