01/ 05 / 08 : Greg Hunter is prolific engineer & producer. Just finished work with ben watkins(juno reactor) on Matrix 2 sountrack. Greg Hunter, used to be engineer for The orb, Killing Joke and early trance @ Butterfly Studio`s. He has released many albums. Do check them out: Subsurfing - Frozen Ants(apollo/r&s records), Fifth Sun(Electric Melt),
Alien Soap Opera(Electric Melt), Third Strand(Melt2000) and many tracks on compialtions ; This stuff is new album demo and lsd would love to release. check his work out.............
02: Bill laswell is prolific producer. Having released over 100 titles to date. He has worked with a whole host of famous world musicians. Has remixed Bob Marley into a dub album, and now turns his talents to an african singer called "gigi". FAntastic soothing dub basslines and pads. A summer smokers delight. i will be kaning this outside in the forrests this summer.
03: Vibrasphere`s San Pedro rmx will be released very shortly on SPiral Trax as a single. Beautiful rmx, hints of original. but more spaced. Wow.....
04: Youth vs Coldcut - shara dub , will be on Youth`s shortly released mix cd on lsd. It is the dub instrumental that was for a Shara Nelson vocal. deep dub grooves and contempoary beats. wicked....(released in july)
06: Abacus - one half of Nada, and lsd artist. He also has tracks tow tracks coming out on Macao Cafe 3(etnica net), this one is a nostalgic trip back to sisties calafornia with a modern edge and will also be on youth`s mix cd.
07: Wider Chanting is track of an Album by Kiwa and Kris Kylven. To be realeased on Surreal Audio I believe. Kiwa will also play a dub set @ samothraki festival. DO not miss them. Very good, intelligent chilled grooves !
09:Nada - a new track by Abacus & myself. A moutain dub with Sufi vocals and soaring bansuri underpined by Hypnotic beats. Soon on lsd.
10: WaterJuice - not much on this apart from new track. if you have`nt picked up there last album . its killer. very good. psychedelic , definately.

Whoo such a Selection makes me very optimistic about future chilled releases.. Youth & Coldcut, Kiwa & Kris Kylven, and especially WaterJuice focused my attention the more after the first reading... If You are speaking about Hydrophonics, Humph, I totally agree your comment, it's warmly recommended on my website..

.. It also seems they have explored another direction in the labyrinth of music than in the HydroPhonics album.
The Upcoming one will be excellent, I believe !

It's already released on Vibrasphere - Stereo Gun and VA - Ease Division 2. And its a great track!!

"Wider Chanting" is actually not by Kiwa and Kris, but Kiwa alone.It will be out on our new downtempo compilation "Angelic Science", it will be out in the stores next month. |
