We would like to thank you all again for all the love and support through these testing times. We appreciate all the feedback and messages, please keep them coming.
As advised in our previous posting across the internet, we are setting up a new membership system for all current full-ticket holders. This is how it works…
From Saturday 4th October, refunds will no longer be available and all full tickets will be valid for free admission to the next liquid event which will take place on the 18th of October 2003 at the Stratford Rex .
The smaller stub of the ticket will get you in free and the actual ticket can be used in exchange for a membership card. If you are still unsatisfied with the options available please contact Liquid Connective directly on info@liquidconnective.org because as of Saturday refunds will no longer be the responsibility of the ticket outlets.
With your new membership, you will be able to receive discounted rates for future events, free demos and promo cds from liquid connective records and an optional text message service including exclusive info to future outdoor events, activities and information straight to your phone.
If you are not in possession of a ticket and you would like to become a member, membership will cost £15 which you can apply for on the night or email us at info@liquidconnective.org. We will be revising the membership system over time, allowing for further additions and improvements.
Activation of this membership will be launched at the next Liquid Connective event, which will be an amazing party, lovingly put together by the Liquid family and friends all working together to put on a truly incredible party….. we hope you will come and Connect, Create and Celebrate with us on October 18th!!!!
We will be hiring in an additional security team and team of stewards to be outside the venue keeping and eye on the parked cars. we are very aware of the problems at past rex events and are doing everything to counteract this problem. the same team are also going to be working at the Tip.World event in November and any other promoters out there wanting the same aid, please get in contact.

The following is an accurate account of how events unfolded at the last party that was lost:
August 22-25th was set to be an amazing event, a massive psychedelic festival here in the UK with an outrageous cast of artists and acts. A lot of care and thought was put into the preparation of this event with particular emphasis on health and safety, festival comforts, the most amazing and well respected cutting edge acts from around the globe along with all the usual magic you can expect from a Liquid Party, all set within a beautiful space.
In order to comply with current legislation we ensured that we had full written permission from the landowner along with the approval of the health and safety executive, the environmental health officer and the local fire brigade. We opted for a private members only event which meant we were exempt from having a public entertainments licence. We had been in communication with the local constabulary, once they were aware of us and initially after negotiating with them they were co-operative and happy for the event to take place. At this stage we continued to put the infrastructure in place which included a beautiful healing area with tipis and geodesic domes…an acoustic stage…..various other morrocon marquees…and of course an amazing main stage with a huge marquee housing all the visual artists and lighting crew.
Everything was coming together, only in the last few hours before the event was about to take place did the authorities choose their untimely change of attitude and served us with a Section 63 under the Criminal Justice Act at 5pm on the Friday which made it too late to implement our backup plan. The authorities intercepted the portaloos and began setting up road blocks making it impossible for the event to take place as planned. At this point we made the difficult decision to begin the move to an alternative site, from here on our carefully crafted plans were lost, and out attempts to recover the weekend crippled by its scale and logistical nightmare.
We would like to apologise for the poor communication, it was impossible to change the messages on both phones with updated information due to the sheer volume of calls coming in.
The loss of the event was shattering for all of us, and the aftermath has been equally as difficult with many attacks and accusations, we are deeply saddened by this response. We urge all to speak out and communicate with us if you still have strong issues. Despite the negative, we are equally inspired by the positive feedback and support and will remain on our true path - onwards and upwards.

did you witness or were you mugged, bullied etc at the liquid rex event by any security?? we have had a few reports and have been taking action on this. please get in contact if you have: info@liquidconnective.org
finally we have managed to get some progress with the security issues from the rex. they have accepted responcibility for what has happened and are in full support of making changes. at present the CCTV tapes are in the hands of the police who are trying to be make positive ids of the secuirty and relate them to the reports in an effort to ban them from working as licenced security staff within the london borough of newham (district of rex).
the rex have appealed for all accounts to be forwarded to us so we can past them on to them or alternatively they are more than happy to deal with each individual account themselves. 'bobby' the director of the rex has asked anyone who wishes to speak to him directly on these matters to telephone him : 020802156003. although you will go through to the reception he is expecting calls regards muggings at liquiud rex event.
