anyone from here going to this?

I am going to have a mini 'Boom reunion' with some people I met in portugal. really looking forward to it.... plus the content is a bit different to the usual which is a plus. Guitars were great with Dark Soho the other month, so more guitars are a *good thing* i reckon.... (up to a point hehe:)

Anyway... after the liquid connective outdoor 36 hour do-dah I am totally sold on their parties:)

ok, so i see no one review it yet.....

well...i got there about 24:00 (With Tom, and his lovely friends) , when we got there the place was already pack with people, even was few still waiting to get in.

some Dj was playing (i cant really be sure who was it), anyway, about 24:30 Ozric Tentacles was giving their live acts with lots of instruments and very good soundwork by them, ALDO, i didnt like all their music, some yes some not, after a while i got really bored from them , so about 2:00 marco from S.U.N Project gave his set that was a little bit tech-acid-trance, at the begining i didnt like his set so much but after about half an hour he started to pump the BMP with nice progg-psy stuff.
then about 4:00am Sun Project got to the stage, well.....im not a really a fan of them so the music for me was a little bit boreing for me.

but anyway i was having fun....... !!!!!!

hope to see you all in the 5th October.

Sooo... I really like the idea of bringing in other elements of Psychedelia.... at Boom there was a 'psychedelic tent' where there were art exhibitions, talks, etc. And now at Liquid Connective we had some psychedelic rock in the shape of Ozric Tentacles.

Hmm the only problem was that most of the people in the rex really like psychedelic trance rather than rock, so people were grumbling a lot (it is true I was one of them...) But I do appreciate what the Liquid Connective people were doing and it's a Good Idea....

I am afraid I can't comment on the music after the Ozrics because I was feeling a bit off-colour. Was it just me or were there a lot of very strange people around? I think I know the answer to that. Anyway at one point I was sitting on the floor and some dude with a bonkers hat sat next to me and said 'wibble' etc to me lots of times. Lots of people were trying to freak me out - later on Tom Anteater gave me one of his famed 'mental keelhaulings'.... hehe. Well you get the idea of my evening.

Back to music: Sun Project were ok and I enjoyed jumping around to some tunes I knew...,. but to be honest I prefer Dark Soho's more measured use of guitars to Sun Project.....

Yeah overall it was a fun evening, and an interesting change from the usual. Maybe too much 'brain research' on my part though.
