Hello there.
Can somebody explain to me the meaning of linear and non linear as I find it everywhere in the audio domain and i can't figure out clearly what it means...
Thanks |

I think the Linear / non Linear terms were nicely explained...
What you are asking is maybe about a linear phase equalization process, which might barely scratch the linear meaning.
So as you said, in simple words (I thought you wanted the hardcore science) - a linear phase equalizer is designed to preserve the phase of the signal without introducing phase shifts throughout the frequency range. That means - you touch what you want to change more or less.
