Ok, if i'm not wrong the desired levels are:
Line in = -4/0dB
Mic in = -40dB +/-

Am i right? Anyone knows the value in mV?
Thanx in advance

- ine in balanced ( +4 dBu ) --> 1,24 V
- line in unbalanced ( -10 dBV ) --> 0,333 V
afaik
- mic --> 0,1 V

mic levels vary between different mics. Condensers will have a lower electric value (but require less energy to produce audio=will be able to capture quirter sounds.)           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.

Hmm thanx Doc and Medirium.
I was referring to dynamic mics.
I am working on some project that involves A/D D/A and encoding and i need as much information on the standard Audio Card configurations (Not the semi Pro or Pro cards). If anyone has some cool resources i'll be glad to check.
Thanx in advance.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

oi! Ive got a weird mic with a battery in it. If I remove the battery and feed it power from my mixing console, u think it will start to burn and spit flaming metal all around my studio? Just reckon Id like to save that battery if I dont really need to use it.
Btw. It's a stageline ECM-2000 and I want to feed it with my Spirit Notepad.           http://krumelur.trance.net
