Is there something like a limiter for RMS??
I often have difficulties with rms because of my lack of knowledge in synth programming.
I've made a nice patch in Z3TA with lots of tweaking and modulated options and I uderstand it logical almost all.The only problem is I dunno why exactly is one side at some moments louder than the other.
Maybe some stuff with curves in matrix but dont realy think so,all sides of effects are in balance too ,and the phase of the oscilators is in balance ,dunno exaclty why at some parts the rms is almost 3 db louder.
However maybe time's gonna solve this with more expirience, for now I wanna use it and so I tried a limiter by sonnox but it controls not this problem.
What to do?
ps I once had a similar problem with another synth and posted a trhead here.I let it as it was cause it didn't changed the overall balance but this part is longer.          https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

its ok for both sides to fluctuate like that as long as fluctuation corresponds with the appropriate timing. ex. one side is slightly louder than the other for a split second, and then the other gets louder as well.

at the end you may get like 0.2 db difference in panning which is trivial and can easily be fixed in wavelab6.

Wavelab is for sure a good way but the thing is that the parts are not long with the huge rms difference.

In the minute part maybe 2 or 3 about ten seconds each..hard to balance correctly somehow ,I've taken additional plug ins and lots of editing now it is ok,but the first plan was a different one.
If I could automate volume of the sides that would be great.

You can. The easiest and simplest way is to either send the sound to 2 buses - 1 hard left and 1 hard right and automate the bus vol or to use a plug in that can control stereo volume (L and R vol).           Triplag Music

have you tried a (multiband)compressor?           www.soundcloud.com/orgytime

well, i think you are going in the wrong direction. if you are getting undesirable panning effects from synth, why trying to fix it with limiters? fix it with the synth! that's how it must be done. check busses in osc section, check if dual filters are enabled, check if both filters freq and eq are moving in sync, check filters panorama, go to the fx section and check if panorama delay is switched on and where the feedback is coming... there are plenty of options, but they are there.

Orgy - no ,this is something I never did so far.Could be interesting.

Makus - yes thinking this is the thing, but couldn't see any unsynchronity ,maybe the dual filters.. will check all again.Thx for tips.           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

Chorus, Phaser, or some other stereo effect on it?

Maybe even delay set up different on each side under certain conditions.

I wouldn't worry too much, TBH, it almost certainly isn't the end of the world - I generally don't worry about this very much at all unless it is on a bass or kick drum, or if it is on a main synth and it sounds wrong.

Alternatively, Use a plugin to kill the stereo width, if you want it mono.

Using a compressor with an infinity to 1 ratio and a v e r y slow attack and release will maybe help - but you'll need to split the cannels up as compressors are typically stereo linked. The compressor will still be working off peak values - but because the attack and release are so slow, it will effectively be working on 'average peak value', which will allow you to control the overall level on the channel. This is useful with things like slowly sweeping phasers and flangers on occasion - but I've never had to do this to balance out the left and right.

Alternatively, just pan slightly to the quieter side.          .

hey dominik my friend =D

long time no speak, dunno if i get your issue right, but maybe give this one a try. it´s kinda great dynamic shaper i fell in love with. i´m running the version from the site and until now they´re working fine, should be evaluation edition, but they somehow seem to not evaluate. so the only thing is you get a message each time you open it which says that it would be kind of sugar if you do the right thing and register or buy the plug (holds few seconds)....

anyways, have fun:
