Limiter for headphones..

Hi
I regularely destroy all boxes and headphones.
Had a very fine monitors few years ago,but all went k.o. and it was ever so before.Now my new are far from that good ones,I try to be cautious but now I again destroyed my headphones.
Is there a sort of limiter for headphones?
When I like sth it can not be loud enough..than I often forget that everything has a limit.
So Limiter for headphones ..lol.. but seems to me a good idea..
Buying better/expensive headphones seems not smart to me because of all this I mentioned,but I actually I'd like to own a pair of good ones.
Any idea?

how the hell are you accomplishing this. seriously - you gotta be fucking up pretty badly to repeatedly trash monitors/headphones....put a limiter on your master!

i destroyed my nice boxes during the world cup,I was out of senses and spinned from my balcony with some mates a bit out of limit ,the boxes thanked me than for it.
The whole district was a booming system.
At some moment the bass went like off.
And before that I had no clue about limiters tbh.
All 4 went suddenly k.o. 
Now I'm cautious with boxes but headphones is a different matter.
Yes I should work always with lower volumes.
But a limiter for headphones could be nice.

I'd swear I once saw sth like that..
an analouge limiter for headphones.
I thaought someone knows the name,but I know this is no standard usual gear.
Apart of this I am not a friend of limiters ,never on master here,and no need .I have full control when mixing on boxes.
It's just the headphones,my last time went k.o. was even not when mixing - simply listened to classical music.

Generally speaking 85db spl should be enough for any mixing! Anything louder on a permanent level could be damaging your ear. Limiters would be needed if the output of your speakers were party level, but generally not for monitoring and mixing, since it would affect the overall sound of your mix ( or what you hear of it after the limiter...)
