Are you here to debate the topic or sell yourself? This debate is not even close to be about bad or good designs or ugly websites.

Like I said in the other thread, regarding music-fame-money... it all depends on who you are and what you expect in life.
Speaking for my self I make the music I love making because life would suck otherwise...everything else we get is just a bonus.
And Faxinadu you think you've spent too much hard earned cash to make music? I've spent 10's of thousands of euros, spent 3 years studying my ass off in university, having to work at the same time to cover my expenses (life in the UK was/is very expensive and had no support from my family as I left home when I was 19), sleeping on average 5 hours a day in order to catch up with my studying and attenind of classes, as I had to work bars and do sound tech for venues to pay the bills.
I am sure there is someone who has had a much harder time than me in order to get to a point where they could create music...all that counts for nothing!
Everything costs money, synths, computers, food, clothes, you are supporting your love for what it is you want to do in life, not a business.
I feel blessed to be in the position I am today, not because we travel and play gigs, or are signed on our favourite labels, remix our favourite artists...etc, but because I am able to do the same thing I was doing before we got to travel, get on labels, remix big names...which is, make the music I love.
/off topic.
Regarding the original thread, if you don't want to get your tracks stolen, don't do something really stupid, like put the whole track on line, ennit.
Peace out.

i like how on this forum everything said is twisted.
i didn't say i spent too much money, and if you think that small sum is everything i ever spent of music, then ok... we were talking what i spent in a period of three months, not that amounts are relevant though.
i was just trying to show that making music costs.
for me, it is all good. i spend this money with love, and whoever here or elsewhere doesn't get it, your problem.
i wish i could erase everything i said in this thread since everything is twisted anyways.

i thinks so yes,
if were all out of this insane money mill...no greed to record and sell but to invent en perform.
Imagine a couple of friends tapping twigs on papaya, shaking shells and gently squeezing a frog for that nice growling fart... its all free and you can not get more analog than that...
i can almost feel it

Music is free indeed.
Music that can be liked by a specific tribe or group of people that can cost money.
Psytrance, for exemple, usually needs good production for the track to be even accepted. If having your tracks liked is your aim (you could do it for yourself and that's it) so probably is going to cost some money (even if it's not much).
But there are LOTS of music styles that are done with bad production (or none at all) everyday, by people with no money to expend with music.
Also I remember reading somewhere that Simon made the first Hallucinogen album with a VERY bad studio setup and hi-fi for monitors. And everybody knows the result...

Also "Burial" comes to mind. Have you heard his music?
--
Burial: I’m not a ‘musician,’ no training, nothing. So I was always scared of people who had studios. Heroes of mine like Photek suddenly became Rupert Parkes in his studio, telling everyone how he did it. The magic got a bit lost. So I thought to myself ****it I’m going to stick to this shitty little computer program, Soundforge. I don’t know any other programs. Once I change something, I can never un-change it. I can only see the waves. So I know when I’m happy with my drums because they look like a nice fishbone. When they look just skeletal as **** in front of me, and so I know they’ll sound good.
M: So you don’t use a sequencer?
B: No.
M: So does that mean your drums are not necessarily in time?
B: My drums are definitely not necessarily in time. When I try and do drums that are too regimented, they lose something. But the moment I put drums where I think they sound good, rather than in time, they seem to have that roll, the swing of the jungle and garage tunes I love.
B: Some of the elements in the drums that make that swing are the ones that don’t fit in to a time signature and that are out. The little bits that are wrong. If I used a sequencer my tunes would sound rubbish.
B: Because I don’t have a sequencer I can’t really mess around. I can’t noodle, at all. I got to shove it together and vibe off it. I make the tune, ****ing quick. Not a single tune on my album took more than a few days to make. They come together real quick and then I spend some time on the details so they’re alright to listen to.
