I never said such a thing, conny used my words and you need to think how you can read better,
anyway folks, sometimes seems like this forum is all about prooving yes or no / black or white instead of being a helper,
if you can't add something relevant you better not say a thing at all(not only for the forum, it's a good advice for life)
what i tried to said here is that presets can be shared technically if all the attachments exists and some of us might find this useful and good material to learn from, for example if some new artist yet don't know he can easily cut the low frequencies at 40-50hz for specific bassline without harming the bassline and make it brighter then sure presets can help him to find this out faster(it's only example)
regarding universal presets - of course there's no such a thing and all should be created from scratch imo- but we all agree about the following frequencies,
BD: 50-350hz
Sub Bass: 20-60hz
Bass: 50-500
HH: 12000hz +
That's only an example the frequncies are not precise- so if i will send someone a preset where i boost the VB/Bass for example at 130-150hz and cut it at 900hz he can benefit some learn from it,
hope i cleared this matter and if not at least i tried
peace

I think if anyone was able to get their hands on Hallucinogen or Infected's computer they would learn a massive amount about making this kind of music and if my synths and plugins came without presets I would be miffed, however, eqs don't ship with presets understandably.
I am of the mindset of eq as little as possible and get the right sounds to start off with and only eq down don't boost.
Superglue you said "i don't think that eqing and compression is such hard case to understand", you are right it isnt that hard to understand but to do well takes decades especialy with multi band compression.
I would show you my eq presets but I don't have any yet. I think trying to eq is like trying to chop a bit of a table leg to get the table to stop wobbling, adjust this one adjust that one until the table is five inches high.
Try a gate on the bass track side chained to the kick track this will help if bass n kick are clashing. |
