The bit where you implied that calling what you do a 'live mixed set' isn't using the word 'live' incorrectly. You said yourself there's nothing live about what you do - if there was then every DJ would be able to call themselves a 'live act' - so why use that word on the flyers?

The word live is tricky .... We should really come with a name for authors playing their own track!
I've heard many psy artists throw around the word vernissage a lot (Hey we live in France ) Anyhow I think it applies nicely as it is nothing more than a showcase of an artist's work. It is a term typically reserved for graphic artists, painters and other "visual" arts. I might look weird if you put it on a flyer though

If an artist want to dance the whole "live act" it not like it is ok but i cannot complain too much, but when i see someone tweking or pretending to play and no sound comes out really pisses me off, or guys just staring at the lap top like if they where watching porn or pretending to move mixer knobs (common most just use 1 channel) some dont even move a knob just touch them pretending to do something to the sound, that for me is trying to take the audience as stupid.

Watching porn and drinking beers while my 90min rendered track plays is a good idea IMO.
I don't take the whole thing seriously...earning money with music is very utopic today and so i don't pretend to make a living with psytrance acts. I produce this kind of music because i love it, and it is no more than a mean to express myself, meet people and travel. Even if the live act is sequenced, you are showing to people all your work and make them dance, why so many questions about what you're doing or not ? You and the crowd have a great time and that's all ! there's no big deal...
a DJ is just and man playing others's music. A liveact plays his/her own music. It makes the difference IMO.
Producing complex psytrance tracks is a billion harder than djing.
