Nah, I think it's much farther in the past than that. Kaschey The Immortal is more like it, if we're talking about the "serious" darkpsy. And less evil "middle management" of the underworld, when it comes to forest psy: Baba Yaga, Vodianoy (governor of rivers, lakes etc.), Leshiy (governor of forests), Kikimora (a swamp hag) and the army of gnomes and witches.
P.S. Atriohm is not Russian, but his music is fit for Baba Yaga's birthday party. I am sure Macedonians have their own Baba Yaga (like Czech Jezi Baba).
