Strong points of me I think are Composition, Bass, mixing and synthesis.
Weak points are percussion (something I think Tsabi is really good at), getting the last kinks out of a track is a very weak point I think, just because I am so damned lazy, transitions at times as well.
And then there is the weed cosumption...

Many folks struggling with synthesis... it is not that hard really. It is about understanding a lot of basic stuff about sound.
There are tons of texts out there about synthesis and it is not difficult at all. I'd recommend understanding sound's basic principles, i believe you like psychedelia and somehow you must understand everything is about pulsating air waves generated by oscillating mathematical waveforms that you can manipulate to create anysound u want.
Every sound is just a wave that changes overtime according to your modulation settings and effects... just have to understand all of that in order to exactly know what to do to sound in order to make it sound how you want... at the end of the day there are not that many settings and you can become incredibly creative by inventing ur own strange modulation chains always knowing what you are really doing to the signal.
Allow me to recommend:
s(M)exoscope - VST oscilloscope
A free and very very useful vst to see the actual waveform at realtime, thank u smartelectonix:

JIZY thanks a lot for the tips i will surely try that... i'd apreciate any info on creating interesting drum parts, i've been researching lost about rythm lately but what im missing is that complex ending patterns that producers/drummers often use after 4/8 bars. I'm practicing a lot, trying to get that natural flow in drums, maybe is time to begin playing djembe or something xD
peace! |

HUGE props for saying this! I would put that under my weaknesses too.

i think just make production is worse than just making music

I think they are totally different focus, some people are better at producing and some are better at making music, some are good at both... i think being able to do both is great, being able to know how to make the sounds in the music better and nicer is a big advantage and will make good music sound great...

I was referring to the comparison of simply making a production and making music (in that making music is a step above just making a production, but both lie withing the electronic music realm).
Just to clarify how I define them (generally):
Making a production: a bunch of sounds in an arrangement.
Making music: weaving sounds together to create a track.
Dunno if that makes sense to anyone, but that's what I was referring to .
