imo music, psytrance included, goes beyond any religion.

you may not use any kind of drugs, but you can still be a psytrance lover, producer or dj.

it is hilarious to me that so many people 'give up drugs' but then still smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol. Total fail.

well, like you say it, you could be right on lots of people, but not for me.
note that there is a difference in how often, how much, and what kind of drug you take.

i drink 2 beers while others take 4 mushrooms, 2 bongs and 1 trip... i saw enough of them on a "psy"-festival.
reminds me on the junkie thread. dont feel offended
that you can call that hilarious.

wasn't attempting to demean you orgytime, I have no knowledge of your habits, its just that attitude of 'im giving up drugs....except the worst ones that do the most damage to my body of course!' is one that I see a lot and do not understand.

I've studied some of the Kabbalistic knowledge, basically the tree of life, ain sof aur principles, 10 sephirot, kingdoms of existence and such stuff.

I found it pretty interesting although it made me come with even more questions about everything... but i think it is pretty didactic and interesting if you throw samples about this...

Now about forbidden practices...i don't have much to say just don't limit your self because of tradition / religion... it is always a nice guide but you should follow your gut. Creating music is a beautiful task that you should follow if you want no mater who pleases or not.

About drugs, well i don't like encouraging anybody to do drugs. But it is my firm belief that psytrance has almost no meaning for someone who hasn't been on psychedelics.

Simply put, i believe psytrance is a mental playground for the psychedelia influenced ones. Anybody can enjoy it sure, but only those in higher states will delightfully ride a track with all its tricks and details.

I know this is very controversial and we have all sides of discussion already covered in numerous threads... also good music will be even better on trip but... for a music designer who has had a psychedelic experience, perspective of production can be much more different; aimed higher.

That's a start, most religions globally have been founded on Cannabis and other psychedelics. Modern day interpretations of the texts, miss many of the metaphors, which are far easier to understand, once someone has experienced the levels of consciousness they spoke from.           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda

I do. Drugs are awesome. The good ones, anyways. More people should do them. The world would be a much better place if *everyone had at least one Trip in a positive set and setting

*almost - there are always exceptions. Just as not everyone is capable of wielding a hammer properly, not everyone seems to be capable of wielding the expanded power of their own mind properly ;P

I like drugs, I dont like drug dealers.

Thats probably the main reason I dont take them anymore.

That said though, I'm one of the few people I know that refuses to take medicine. I have a very sensitive system and only put things in it that I want in it.

religion is a messy thing, specially in these circles.
i do my events as a method of gathering positive energy for the surrounding area, but in the end, it's just a dance party with better music than most dance parties.

generally, i'll cleanse and bless the dance area, spend about a week making little offerings to the spirits of the area and during the party try my damnedest to keep everyone positive and the energy flowing properly.

that being said, i do that privately, and just let everyone do what the want to do, i'll leave an alter out, and if people want to use it, then so be it.

as for drugs, they're all fine and dandy, but i stopped doing them and i've had better experiences ever since. to many people think that drug = a spiritual experience, when in all reality drugs are just part of the bigger picture.

but hey, this is just rave music, yeah?!?!?

The reason i use these samples and not others is because its hard to be original..i have samples from movies and from other places(radio transmissions, trippy science stuff)but the music a person makes comes from his soul.A lot of the songs i create are based one personal experiences and since im religious im trying to ocnvey spirituality. My samples dont preach as in Be Jewish only jewish...no way..my samples are wise words..hopefully make people think a little..thats it.Im not trying to convert anybody.Though it would be interesting if i played in Israel because its 99 percent a non religious scene and if i went up there with a long beard and dressed religious things could get interesting.Im not trying to push anything on to you guys im just trying to get a feel of things in the scene and what to expect if i ever do play live.it seems that some trance lovers also love Shiva and other Gods but i dont know anything about this and Goa Gil offers ot his Gods before he plays.Im not here for that.I want to play music.Peace           www.soundcloud.com/kabbalisticvillage

If there were 'gods' references in the music i wouldnt mind myself, im an atheist and a sample is not going to ruin my vibe on the dancefloor, i dont care who and what is mentioned, i just want good psytrance being played at the right time.

Take cosma's 'simplicity', for me its the most spiritual psytrance album ever released, its a pure spiritual trip, and one of the best psytrance albums ever created to date, pure bliss
