hey i see some artists recently got kind of habbit - to produce double disc as 1 album... im not talking about some particular band.. just in general

personally, i prefer to make 7-8 tight tracks for 1 album, instead of 15-20 not so well produced tracks.. i dont believe its possible to work on each track that good, when you have 18 tracks in your album

what do you think of this?

I think must people (if not everyone here) will answer: less tracks, but only good ones...
What's the point of buying a CD with 12 tracks, when you'll gonna listen only to 2 or 3 of them???

The scene deserves quality.

How common is it with over 10 tracks on trance cds? Very uncommon. I prefer fewer good tracks than many bad.           Ut ameris, amabilis esto.

I don't think you see so many double CD albums. Infected Mushroom have one coming up, but I can't really judge it as I haven't heard it yet.

And I don't think the artists should be limited to 1 CD for an album if they feel inspired to make more music for 1 release ... actually some of my favourite albums are doubles:

Total Eclipse - Violent Relaxation (1996)
Haldolium - H2 (2000)
Ishq - Orchid (2002)

Sure, there are albums when you feel you've had more than enough with 70 minutes and 8 tracks, but if the artists are willing to put a lot of time and effort in to a double (hell, even a triple ) album, then they're more than welcome

I'd like to hear more about which artists you're thinking about ...          DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Less and good of course... If there are more and bad none gonna listen to them after the first time, so there is no point for that...           In This World Have Your Own Bpm...
