er, last time i checked we were making PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE...not Rock n' Roll or a Gospel Track....
so as far as sounding natural goes, i don tthink that that is much of an issue....isnt half the point of trance to mindfuck the listener....hence multiple verbs can surely be an option if done coreectly....
i think people need to differentiate between classic production and psy prodcution....or rather use ideas of production for different genres...
for example...
the track starts....hardly any reverb...very boxy...you hear a door open....(small break)...interweave with a theme...and bang a new verb sets off in the track....track continues and can open up again like a traveller, walk out of a converging cave...and bang your into a new verb again etc.....just an idea and way of thought in creativeness....again i take the analergy of art,,,
when you paint you dont say...er use blue on the whole sky all the time because, people are use to mostly seeing the sky blue....that sorta thing
people like neat tricks and creativity in psy trance...thats what draws ppl to loving certain tracks....thos parts that end up sounding befuck....
this is the nature of psy trance i think...

good point trapp ! something off the traditional way of dong things .. and as far as i believe , psy trance is inter-dimensional music ... not bound by space / time ..... so multiple reverbs can really help you feel that ..........
respect... chandan ! |

indeed, TRapp is right... Changing reverb during the course of a song is a very good thing to do... i didn't even think of that But i didn't see him say that he used 2 reverbs at the same time anyway, good point, i take back what i said... Ur completely right TRapp |

I personally think that all rules are made to be broken. Sometimes I will have a specific reverb on a specific sound that might be a shorter reverb than what I am using for other sounds. The most important thing to remember about making music, especially psychedelic music is that you do have the freedom to break any guideline you want, provided it sounds good. Feel free to push the envelope, develop new ways to warp your sounds.
I wouldn't use two reverbs on the same sound at the same time, but it doesn't mean it cannot be done and have it sound good... I just don't know how to do it yet...
