I dunno about their leads but their acid sounds (like in " a dancing snake") can be done with softsynth Quadrasid. |

why do so many artists say come us with your own sounds...you have to know the system before you can break it...
of course if anyone were to try and imitate
it will never sound the same as the original
but to know how to do the style then i bet all doors can be opened alot faster.
play with triangle 2 or triangle one
run bit crushing effects and just experiment with the effects on board the vst.
So there is so many combos.
In Logic I use triangle 2 and play with the delay and other knobs..(so damn easy to get lost , so save a copy and rename if you like a sound but are scared to loose it.)
depends on the power of your puter for the processing power.

Hi setfan, thx for your interest. well first of all i think "reproducing" sounds from bands you like is a good method to learn a lot about synthesizers!
Thats how i did it aswell when i started.
Andy and me didn`t use a lot of software synths though creating our sounds!
a lot of them are Waldorf Q, Korg ms20, Oberheim
Supernova etc. I just loooove the real knobs you know!:-)
But that´s just a matter of taste. software synths nowadays are working just as fine, sometimes even better!!
My advice is: pick one rather big synth, get to know him really well (it might take it´s time!!), learn to love him, play with him. You might get fed up from time to time, but thats normal. Just like a married couple!!:-)
You´ll be very happy afterwards, because..."You know one, you know them all"...like the girls.;-)
(just kidding dear girls! please don´t kill me for that) hehe
good luck then...
tell me how it goes... |
