@Nickberber; the only TAL synth I never use is Vintage, but my favorites are Elek7ro and Noisemaker. If you like Juno emulations the U-No is great too. Ive never really used TAL fx though just because I already have other similar plugs, but just from playing around with the flanger and verb, they're also top shelf

@Bar Mitzwa; because sometimes freeware does it better And freeware developers dont have to keep within the boundaries of marketability, so they can make wacky obscene plugs or like Elektrostudio, emulations of analog gear less famous than ARP Odysseys or MiniMoogs But, well lets just say, I feel that allowing an artist whatever tools help them make their visions reality is a good thing Then it can be enjoyed by others. Paying for the tools should be a gesture of thanks and praise to the creators, but not every artist is able to afford it, so we find other ways to pay respect

But dont forget to check out freeware too, why deny yourself the possibility of finding a unique gem           .

we used this also. but now you can use the patcher in fl studio to do similar routing madness. but i also think the tracker view is a little bit of confusing for beginners.
but when you into it then you can work very fast. but this is the point of all daw´s. you have to know your tools an then you build a good stuff with it.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

to them I tip my hat, but IMO ableton live is well worth the money

I got Logic Pro (7 it was back then) for 119 british pounds through the educational discount store of Apple.

The Logic 8 upgrade was the same price.

Very cheap when you consider the DAW and all the amazing included plug ins...anyhow back to free programs. LiveCut and KT Granulator are also very good.

Peace out.
