i am also voting for zebra 2.

the problem of fm sounds in zebra2 is that you only have the fmo's(with the sine wave as carriersignal). in the other synthies thecarrier can be saw ore pulse wave etc. to get the sounds sounding like the fm in nord or virus i think we must use some tricks: waveformpainting, the fx section of the zebraoscillators.

in the forum of u-he are some discusses about importing wavefiles in zebra to analyse them as soundspectum for the wavetableoscillator. i think in the furure urs will implement such a function.

Well technically a characteristic synth would not have to sound like some other.
Since it would be ungeneric. Im mean synths that have their own sound.

yes zebra has his own characteristic sound. it has a big list of filters(since yesterday is the list larger with an new filter) and doesnt try to emulate the sound of an specific old analog battleship.

Absynth has one of the most unique sounds, no doubt.           When rain dries, clouds form.

xhip will have a better GUI and there'll be a modular version of it too, which should kick some major ass.
