What softsynth do u guys think has the most characteristic un-generic sound?

what do you mean with un-generic?zebra 2 is my favorite vst these day just i can t make fm sound like a nord 2 or a virus but ll try again. |

i am also voting for zebra 2.
the problem of fm sounds in zebra2 is that you only have the fmo's(with the sine wave as carriersignal). in the other synthies thecarrier can be saw ore pulse wave etc. to get the sounds sounding like the fm in nord or virus i think we must use some tricks: waveformpainting, the fx section of the zebraoscillators.
in the forum of u-he are some discusses about importing wavefiles in zebra to analyse them as soundspectum for the wavetableoscillator. i think in the furure urs will implement such a function.

Well technically a characteristic synth would not have to sound like some other.
Since it would be ungeneric. Im mean synths that have their own sound. |

yes zebra has his own characteristic sound. it has a big list of filters(since yesterday is the list larger with an new filter) and doesnt try to emulate the sound of an specific old analog battleship.

Xhip unprofessional????? just beacause it has no eye pleasant gui, common xhip has amazing oscillators, its definitely in my top 5 vsti's take a better look at it |

gui is important - xhip gui is not got for a relaxed synth work
