i got used to layer my leads, and i guess most of you too. i just wonder if i have special lead (for example the lfo saw, but it could be anything else), the layers might ruin the special character of it. so what do you do then to make your leads fat and also keep its special character?

If you have Korg Legacy Cell, it comes with an FX unit (MDE-X, I think), and there's a preset there called "Analog Ensemble" which can often provide instant fatness and movement. Load this, and adjust the main controls to taste, especially the high damping knob.

its not that simple i think... especially if you got a moving lead like a saw with a slow lfo...
the resonance peak always moves.
i noticed, as soon as the dominant lfo moves the resonance, there can be problems with layering.
example:
@ 3:44
better to support such leads with not layered sounds. the new vibe tribe album is nice to get some ideas of layering, really good imo.
