I'm using my reMOTE 25 audio/X-station as my soundcard, midi-controller but I also use the synth. After some issues with drivers and huge latency problems it's all working fine now in Cubase SX 2.2. Great! But... I've got one small issue left:

When i hit a note on my Novation controlling (for example) V-station VST it still has bit latency. It also seems like the longer my Cubase session is, the bigger the latency will get. I think it's got something to do with the fact it's all controlled via USB. At least, that's what I've read. So my question is, will this improve when I buy a decent PCI soundcard for my midi traffic?

of course you will minimize the latency(with m-audio latency is history).check the new audiophile 24/192 with asio2.0.low budget high quality.but if you have money to spend check, lynx two or motu 896 firewire(like mk2)

i think that must be a soundcard configuration problem, try different buffer sizes and check if something changes
