IMO, Haltya's trip was really bad, and he's lucky nothing more serious happened to him, given the official and personal aggressiveness he experienced throughout his stay in Israel. Despite laughing a little about "the faggots", the whole rest of his story was just a step from a real nightmare. I, and you too, have heard of foreigners disappearing in a distant country without a trace and this happens even in every country (actually I have a friend who has just vanished in Japan, the last we heard he had a real bad situation in Osaka, Japanese mafia HQs). I even dare say that Haltya was somehow naive, betting that nothing bad would happen to him. If I were him, the first thing I would do was to go to my embassy in Tel Aviv and let them know what I was going through, and I would make it very clear to those f***ing organizers that I had done so. As a reader's advice: before you accept being booked, check the organization's reputation. It's quite easy these days. You can google them, ask here in Isratrance or Psynews, there are a lot of people who can give you hints on that.
If I were an artist I would never accept bookings from a certain list of countries, including Israel. Too easy to meet a stoned angry official with an Uzi on his hands in the middle of the desert... |

@DIsco Hooligan
This is so offtopic but it sounds like you're almost proud of the fact that in your country there were terrorist attacks against innocent civilians following the economic and social problems and gaps, and not following the disputes on the basis of nationality and religion. In my opinion there is no need to harm innocent people for any reason.
And let me tell you that in December 1968 two terrorists from organization called "Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine", one citizen of Libya and one citizen of Lebanon (even though Israel was not in a state of warfare with one of these countries) attacked by machine guns and hand grenades an Israeli aircraft, that stopped stopover in Athens, an Israeli was killed, and a flight attendant was seriously injured. To my knowledge the terrorists did not check their passports before the attack could actually hurt the Greek port workers.
But hey, it does not matter to you,Because they were from Israel and because someone showed you on TV that Israel is bombing and invading other countries, right?
One of the greatest leaders of my country once said: "War is avoidable. It is peace that is inevitable."

Well if you were an artist you must know that Israel is one of the capitals of the trance scene in the world, we've got gorgeous sun, eight months a year, great sea and wild parties. And that any trance artist can tell you ...
You should also know that Israel is one of the world's largest arms exporters, so that almost in all the deserts in the world you can come across "a stoned angry official with an Uzi on his hands"

Hey Colin
I do not need media to get news, I can look from my balcony and watch the news...
In the post-modern world that we live in, there is no right or wrong and not a lie and truth, each of us tell his narrative and sure he's right. I just said what was sitting on my heart and I hope I did not harm anyone.
And while we're talking, can I ask for some information or references to your upcoming concert in Israel ?

Wrong! You jumped into conclusions based on false assumptions on what I am proud of. I am not proud of my country, our leaders are corrupted overweight thieves, protected by our constitution and abuse their privileges on the Greek people, everyday.
Like I said, I have no brief with the random Israeli guy/girl, I do hold grudges with the Israeli government though. I don't go along with the things that have been happening.
As you might know, the Greeks were enslaved to the Turks for 400 years, before we revolted in 1821 and threw them out of Greece. When I was a young kid in school, our history teachers talked in a way where we felt we should despise Turkish people. When I went to do my army service in 1997, we were singing anti-turkey songs in our morning jog. But I visited Istanbul recently, and Greeks and Turkish people are a lot more alike then were we taught in school and they (not all obviously) are very welcoming to Greek people.
I hope Palestine and Israel reach the same level of understanding one day and that the hate programming, stops when you finish school/the army.
A lot of extreme violence has been thrown, both ways and as hard as it is for you to read my post that says, just fucking get over it! you should know that in the 400 years we were enslaved to the Ottoman Empire, the Turks killed us left right and centre just for fun, raped our mothers, our sisters, poled our fathers and let them rot in our villages main squares to set an example...but we over threw them and 150+ years later, we simply got over it.
...but that will probably happen (if ever) after your generation passes away. You guys need more time before you even stop wishing every israeli/palestinian in the world, dies a slow horrible death...I might be over exaggerating with this last statement, but you get my point
Peace out.

So...
Colin dressed in a full Hijab, with a BOOM T-shirt under it
Written in small print on his underpants is 'the detonator is up my arse'
If anyones seen the movie 'its all gone pete tong', that would be wonderful if transcribed to 'DJ Disaster Stories' with a hint of 'Prisoners Abroad' type filming to it - low budget docu type thing with some groovy party scenes |

it is always again and again the same problem that i see so often - national identities all over the trance scene. only weak people identify themselves with a nationality, because they have no other human virtues to identify with. a person with a greater heart identifies with the earth and not with a couple of funny clowns in the parliament.
why cant you see a land as what it truly is - a land that gives you shelter, food to eat and vegetation to breathe, water to drink and swim in, animals to live in harmony with, mountains to help you go nearer to the stars and lakes to see the mirror of the sky and yourself? it is the place that gave you a birth and the place you would probably go back into when you leave your body after your journey on earth.
why do you always need to see a land as a national identity? why cannot we be citizens of the world, everyone a citizen in a small single ball rotating between the stars?
why do you always need to see the trancers from a certain country perspective . i never liked this. people are so different.
oh and btw the biggest arms exporters are the states, russia and germany and not israel. it is just not fare to say, how can you people in israel be indifferent to the war situation in israel and do like there were no war.
because then the question arises, how can others be indifferent towards the arms export economy of the first world contries, why dont they do something against it themselves? but no, it is so much easier to escape!!!! to find another pastures to trance and be happy.
this escapism all around is something that really turned me out from trance. so israel is very dangerous, the airports are shit, and so let us party only on the beach and forget about the problem. selective membrane of reality.
it would be so much nicer to see a visit to israel as a peace activism. go and try to spread a message. why not?

Moki babe, very valid points, but this ain't a political forum. Last peace shipment got blow to bits, they don't want peace
If we started a political debate we'd all be called anti-semitics
The irony of 'isra' trance in 2011 where Israel is the most un-plur place on the planet atm
Hugs xxx
btw nice website |

Dude, don't bait an off-topic discussion
'they' obviously referred to the ruling power and not the people
want to buy some arms? Colin is coming, he'll have swallowed the plans for the new anti-aircraft missile launcher, meet him at the address the organiser planned at 6PM. Don't be late |

| moki come on, i really can't stay anymore in my basic view of the world (the view of the world as land and not identities etc.)i love to feel this way but it's not possible since everyday people duy non stop,no matter what the rest of the world's reactions. btw, don't you see that an activism trip to israel is literaly hopeless? |
