endeavour, wear a suite + mustache, and itll be ok  + get the working visa. make sure somebody drops you off at the airport and chats with security, makes it a lot more easier usually. dont try to be too nice to airport security, just plain official. Good luck with the gig! |

Wear what yOu normally wear, just use your good clothes. If they ask what your reason is for visiting, tell them you are performing dance music and here is your working visa. Tell them the truth in a straight (and tired, bored) manner. Don't plan on being someone you are not, they will see through it. Oh, and tell them only what thEy ask for, the required minimum.
I have had so much hassle everytime I went to the USA in recent years because I was on a limited work Visa in Canada , the questions at immigration in the us ranged from why are you here to what do you want to are you an illegal immigrant to are you a terrorist...
I am a Canadian resident, hopefully that will make things easier. Last time I did the us trip they detained me for almost 7 hours and stopped short of shoving a finger up my ass.

Talking about going in Israel, my old house mate went through the 3rd degree to get a VISA and when going into the US... Its like they treat all tourists like a threat to their national security. Them folks are a proper paranoid bunch..
Its not something to scratch your head over... them superpower nation's governments (note governments, not citizens), have fucked people over left right and centre, so they do get paranoid about their homeland safety, especially after 9/11.
Just make sure you don't wear a "BOOM" t-shirt

Unfortunately, we've all seen what can happen when there are security holes in the terrorist attack in Moscow airport last week.
I already told you that I also suffered the security checks at the entrance to the U.S. but we can not blame them on paranoia.
We must remember that even if someone is Pranuid that does not mean that nobody is chasing him...

Our security at airports is very relaxed and although we've had inland terrorist attacks due to political party differences, we've don't have terrorist/suicide attacks from foreign countries in Greece.
Basically the reason is that we don't invade/bomb other countries/people...and that is as "political" as I am going to get on the subject and will keep my personal views on who should be paranoid about suicide attacks and for good reason, to my self.

I have been to 15 countries (including USA around 20 times or more) and never had a problem about anything,quiet the opposite everyone was very friendly with me even in Ukraine where i was for a football match with another 500 people and making fun of all the officials.
I guess its something about your hair or tattooes guys,its a conservative world we live in after all.

Well actually last year in Lieges,Belgium when we were leaving a single old lady with a fat security guy forced 1500 of us to strip our belts and all metal objects and examined all of us ONE BY ONE and the check took more than 4 hours.
Thinking of that i believe we should have kidnapped both of them and take them back to Greece with us.
