Ok I've just got back from Voov and i have to say that i was fairly blown away by the whole thing. Quality atmosphere and cool people, even the weather was fine!! On the sunday we
had a lovely chilled one and stayed up specially to witness the final choon. You know, the one that has everyone stomping like mad or just revelling in the memeories of the event.

The tune comes in and it chugs along for a few minutes and you think its building up, then for no apparent reason the choon is faded out and thats that. THE END!!!

Why play a lame choon at half volume for the last track of an otherwise blinding party. Does this happen all the time at large parties? Is it intended to chill everyone out and wind down? Is just me that was disappointed by the way it ended?

nice to meet you at VooV!

that's really annoying.... same thing happened at a kundalini i went to a few months ago and I was asking myself the same thing. Surely it's better to end on either a) a full-power lethal tune, or b) a nice morning tune...

Anyway, after i had my veggie burger and left you guys I met up with Adam, Xav etc for a while and
also had a quite chilled eve. They had brought some chairs out to the alternative stage which helped matters. But by 3.30 I was dancing with my eyes closed I was so shattered, so I went back to my tent ready for an early departure Monday morning.

have to say i agree - it was a little tame the ending to voov, i prefer a full power final set with the last couple being classic morning tunes....

it saves the messiness you know....

but then again you do need to take it to the bitter twisted end           live life; be free

yep, i know what you mean you have to take it as far as you can, especially when you get about as little as i do! It just seemed a strange way to end a blinding w'end of music. Obviously the twist is there though. Hmmmmmm!

thought i'd ressurect this to ask if anyone else was slightly peeved (great word, i'll have to use it more often ) at the way they ended it at psygate.. paul taylor is playing the new gms remix of gamma goblins, and we're all stomping along, and then literally mid bar, they just halved the volume.. and kept turning it down 'til it sounded like there was possibly a car stereo playing at the front.. i felt i was deflating like all those inflatable decor things were shortly to (do)..           >>love will tear us apart...<<

ahhh fuck it, the VooV in the whole rocked, one of the best parties ive been too. thats what u should remember, the whole festival in its self.

the reason the last tune was faded on the main stage was because they had actually played the last tune, but the dj tried to play one more, and it ended up being played through the monitor speakers which resulted in half sound and then the engineer pulled the plug, ive actually got it on video which i'll be publishing on the web soon.

but in a whole the festival was great and i'll remember the festival for what it is rather than the last tune played
