aloah to all
read and heard that these should be "the best" for audio.
---> experiences ?
what makes them better as ibm,wd,maxtor,...?

I like Lacie products. I've used a Lacie Firewire hard drive on a Powerbook with no problems at all. The CD Burners are really nice too. Also to make it even better the newer drives are rackmountable.
  It's moving so fast, it's standing still. |

LaCie it's just an external box with power supply and
usb , firewire or scsi connectors , that made mostly
for macintosh market , and if u check out what kind of
hardisk LaCie use inside their boxes u will find Quantum
or Segate in most cases .
So nothing makes LaCie better than Segate or Quantum .
About hardisks for audio all i can say that if u work with
multichannel recording u need a fast SCSI card and
15.000rpm hardisk like Segate Cheetah that became
standart for pro audio recording , but i'm shure u not
going to record 32 or 64 channels of audio directly to
yo hardisk , so even a regular IDE Quantum Fireball can
do the job 100% . |
