Greetings to all labels and artists releasing music digitally on Beatport, Musicdock, Cytopia, Trackitdown, Audiojelly, and other download portals. If you're looking to have your release reviewed, feel free to contact me. I've been reviewing for years and have amassed a *huge* database of published content on my web site, available here:
http://www.ektoplazm.com/reviews/

Recently I've been getting into reviewing digital releases (denoted on my site by the small green icon with the wave inside of it). As I have been exploring this new medium, a number of thoughts have occured to me:

- Digital music is currently flying under the radar of most reviewers
- Given that digital music is not available at the major psytrance outlets like Psyshop and Saikosounds, many potential customers have no idea where to go
- The lack of standardization (i.e. whether there is a cover, what format it is in, whether there is DRM or other restrictions) makes this new medium somewhat daunting to some potential buyers
- Promotion of digital releases is typically patchy; I often run across stuff I never even knew existed, but that's only because I'm really digging for it

After reflecting on these observations, I decided to write this message offering my services to any label or artist who might be interested. I'd like to see the digital music marketplace expand, and I figure that a bit of press would likely benefit everyone involved. Traditional CD reviews are still immensely popular, as the activity here on Isratrance would suggest. Reviews of digital music have a key advantage over reviews of physical material: if a reader is interested, they can instantly sample and purchase the music in question.

Before I wrap this up, I should mention a few things about my reviewing services:

- I am only up for reviewing releases available in a lossless format
- style-wise I've got broad tastes but if you send me details on a single I can tell you straight-up whether I am likely to be into what you're selling
- I am not about to sugarcoat anything, but if I really don't like a release I'll kindly not publicize my words far and wide
- save your leftovers; if it wasn't good enough for CD and you're only releasing it digitally because you can, I'm not about to tell readers otherwise
- I make no promises regarding turnover, but luckily I find that digital singles are easy to get into and review relatively quickly
- please send any associated press/cover images in maximum quality when you deliver materials for review

That's all, thanks for reading. I would suggest contacting me through my web site, as Isratrance's PM system can get clogged up some of the time

both you guys are missing the point.. if your stuff is not released yet, why even bother posting i this topic ?? to get a few more hits on yourspace ?

great initiative Alex. i hope lots of label's contribute to this.. I can assure you that when our label releases new stuff, you will be first in line to hear about them (and we are planning a few surprise releases to revive the label) !!

Heheh... yeah guys, I'll check your stuff I have some time, but this is more for official releases from labels (small or established, it doesn't matter) for sale on sites like Beatport, Cytopia, Trackitdown, etc. For example, here are a few recent digital singles I have reviewed:

Mr. Clown, that sounds great! I am looking forward to renewed operations at Jester Records...
