hi there
in waves L1 or L2 or L3 there is an option where we can choose analog or digital.
my question is what is the diference between aplying the L1 analog or digital. if it for example more suitable to use analog if aplying it in baselines and kicks and digital when using it with synths?
i´ve tried diferent combinations but in fact both sound me exactly the same. how do you guys use it or do you notice any diference between them? |

hello lithium,, i think this feature is only for choose the bit range optimizing,,,
no possible to hear very much when you play a track into a usual sound system.
in the L2 no analog or digital options,,,,, strange......

Analog/digital are the way the signal will be clipped. If you set it to digital you can se that the places where the sound has hit the threshold, the signal looks like it's been digitally clipped - totally flat. If its set to analog it simulates analog clipping and it looks much more organic/random. I think this should sound better/more smooth but i've never tested this sonically. |
