The sound figures are amazing and once more we can see repeating patterns of nature.
Too bad that only home is in english. Maybe you can update, if its ever translated.
Thanxs for sharing.

This has been a very fascinating area of inquiry for me. The veil between states of reality seem very thin looking into cymatics. In a way it seems so intuitive and natural that it works this way... many time you just 'get it' that sound 'means' something in particular
Hans Jenny also wrote a book that is available through ebay usually (although a bit on the pricey side), its very high quality and indepth.
I'd love to hear any ideas for making a simple and cheap 'tonoscope' for some real life demonstration. A speaker glued to the underneath of a drum head and sand on top at it most basic? any ideas?
Cool topic Master Margherita!

I googled it up.. alot of info on cymatics but no info on how to build a tonoscope. Maybe if you use a speaker or a doctors hearing instrument it could work. I suggest you try it out, sounds like fun!
During one test, the powder looks like yin-yang chasing each other. In another it looks like swirling galaxies. amazing stuff!
You can't tell the actual construction of the tonoscope from the movie, they were just showing the effect but it says its a membrane of stretched paper(?). I suppose a drum head would work, anything thin that conducts vibration, and you can get 'lycopodium' powder (spores of club moss) on ebay. Any type of fine powder would probably work ok... talc, flour, etc.
I've always thought a tonoscope setup would be a mindblowing thing to have at parties. My nord micromodular would be a small and portable tone generator. With room for 99 patches, you could ocassionally switch the patch to produce different preset effects. and with very long LFO settings you could get some very nice evolution of pattern and forms.
hmm... dreaming again...

have you seen this link? I guess it's the same idea...
patterns and mandalas formed from different tones...
Is this why I always see mandalas when I close my eyes and listen to trance? makes sense to me..
