great snippet. ultraclear production, groovy.. like to hear the part after what is shown here
one thing about that retro computer game synth lead in the beginning: i would let it end after the first break at 57 sec.. even though you use it nicely, for me, after a while, it gets quite annoying as it kills any trance feeling. but you know, its down to taste as always..

This. Its down to tastes as Klippel said, but I really dislike the rim/square pluck sound used all over the place in prog "psy" these days...that sound was news 5 years ago in techno.
But the shuffling/swing drum loops with the kick and bass groove sound nice, well played.
Peace.

well.. haters gona hate...
anyway.. this is only the first part of the track.. the second and third parts dive into more deep prog/psy without the rim/pluck sound and the groove builds around short synth stabs.
thnx for the reply guys.. its still in progress!
ps.
its my first try in this kinda psytech style so im still learning as i work on it!

yeah i think the video game pluck does get a little old, but to be honest imo techno/house or whatever is all about being very slow evolving and repetitive, so i think it works
sounding great so far looking forward to more!

hey again mate,
heard that snippet again, my honest feeling is: ditch that sound. sorry, but it is really stopping any deepness, the track instantly gets into another sphere without that sound in the later parts..
i mean, if you like that bling blong cliché club techo style click, make a consistent track with it and stay club style.
but if you want any deeper prog trance with a more techy vibe, ditch the sound as you already have that going with the kick/bass and perc grooves you have here..
and its not about hating btw. i guess you want a consistent feel on the dancefloor, and if you have a track with 3 parts that feels like 2 tracks i would get confused.. easy as that
anyway, you do a good job with that groove orientated tech style, like it

i kinda like this new trend of techno with heavy basses, i call it new cos i dont hear it alot, its always a very subby bass that cames along with it.
I have to agree with Klippel on the track consistency though.
Without wanting to Spam but a few minutes ago i listened to Nozem (aka Supergroover)on Ektoplasm and he made a very cool aproach to this type of soundz, give it a listen

so after lots of consideration over the fact that most of you dont like the plucky sound, i decided to... not change it cos other people tald me its great and since half love it and half hate it its too hard to make all happy.
im not the biggest fun of the plucky sound either but if i change it now i will have to rework it all.
im posting tomorrow the full version of the track wich follows on a more psy road but retains the tech feel for the basis and the groove.
stya tuned and thanks for the suggestions!

I really loved your old atropa music both soundwise and musicwise. I don't find that uniquness here
Soundwise it is very good, but I feel there is much room for leads and melodies and the track is kinda empty. It does makes my knees to twist and start jumping
good luck!!

i really need to do different things.. im getting bored of the usual psy/prog sound.
i will look for ways to fit psy with techno so i can listen and like my music again.
ofcourse this doesnt mean that everybody must like it.. i just need to fulfill my own ego
thnx for the replies guys!
the track is done now and will be released in the upcoming kyma ep. on landmark records!
