The KRK's are much more Accurate and more revealing than the M1's. Also a key improvement of the KRK is that the design of the slotted ports allows for less flutter and distortion. Much tighter bass.

however one thing to note between the 2 is that the M1's have lasted me for over 5 years. Within 6 months of owning the rockits, they have failed once already. Having to replace a whole monitor.

Hope this helps.

I have my KRK v6 for 3 years - no technical troubles at all... I'd say as good as new.

I'm thinking of getting much more expensive pair of monitors - so maybe these will go to some lucky buyer.

I've been using krk's for 4 years, then switched to the 1029's from genelec, but something was always missing in the mixes... now i use dynaudio bm6 and they are unbelievable!!!

if you are going to get genelecs you must the also get the genelec sub to go with whichever monitors you purchase, the monitors on their own give not a very good bass...best described as wooshy....
