I´ve been told this monitors are very good, but I never listen to them... Does this brand a good one??? Like Dynaudio, Genelec, etc??

Btw, I´m making a comparative test between some monitors, and I have my fav´s till now: Alesis One Mkii, Roland DS-50, Tannoy Reveal Active or this KRK RP-8...

Thanks in advance.

I've got the KRK RP-5, because I have a small studio. They are great monitors in any aspect, price, sound...
I tried the Mackie and Event before this and the KRK gave me the best results. The Tannoy might be an alternative as this two companies are making hi quality monitors for a long time.
There is also the KRK RP-6, which has a slightly better bass response and the RP-10 sub bass.

I've got the KRK v6.

I suspect that only KRK expose would make me love them :/
Don't know about the PR-8.

what I can say, is that the only problematic thing with them is the blurry lows. I can never mix lows completly how I hear them.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

SMS,
before you decide what monitor you like...
i think its better for you to ask yourself:
- what do i need? -

first step before you get an expensive monitor, is to improve your room acoustics.
after you make your dry room it will be
easier to pick monitor that you like because you can compare different monitors in -your- room, and not in the shop.
dont rely on their acoustics, you are not making music there.

if you have a small room (about 3x3 meters)
i think 6" monitors will fit you more then the 8" you are interested into, but its much better if you borrow different monitors, and check them is your studio.

my suggestion for 6"/6.5" monitors are:
Dynaudio BM6 and Mackie 624.
(and Yamaha NS10 for reference ).
they are much more accurate then the KRK(that mostly used for post production).

it's better that you write down your budget,
maybe we can suggest you better.

take care
