New compilation from old Koyote crew, the label that brought us Xenomorph, Aeternum, Ominus and many more. I've alway considered their music as side projects, something that never caught me fully. so this time I told myself "what the heck" and got it.
In general this CD contains a selection of really interesting music, from low-dark beats to high-uplifting morning tunes, but with no appearent order.
The CD opens with Supersonic Dolls - a very Iboga like track that remined me of Phoney Orphants - Diving in the dessert. We continue to a strong uplifting track from Machinaries of heaven, and then drop down again to some fast and quite boring track by Silk (Dara-Lee).
Mr Marcello Bonafacii, AKA Aeternum has always been a mystery to me. He's never been in league with my musical line, yet I've always been impressed by his work. Here he gives us an unusualy slow stomping track with a really nice uplifting melody and Kongos drumming.
Again we drop to a fast scratchy tune by Psychoid, move to a terrible tech-stomp tune from Mr.Peculiar with a feeble attempt to an old-time melody in the end.
Xenomorph deliver their usual night ride with Malkhut Temple - I'm no Xeno-fan, but this track rocks.
Now, I dont know why, but the producers of this compilation decided to place the traditionally closing ambient track from Monolite Altaraz before the end of the CD, and thus Brighton Trash Department (again Dara-Lee) closes the with a fluffy attempt to thrill.
All in all some of you might find some good tracks here, yet as a whole unit this compilation fails to interest me.
