My last intention by submitting my post was to start any negative vibes.Lets all just chill out and enjoy life. Thanks for all the suggestions especially Undertow's velocity check.............something I didn't check before.Unfortunately it still sounds dodgy.I now assume that if my virus sounds sweet with all the settings between Cubase, RME and Access the problem must be with the Korg Prophecy........anybody else have any suggestions???????..........I'll keep trying and as soon as I solve this I'll put a post up for anybody who might experience the same problem! |

Hi Tokolosxi,...
All i can say is that u need to set the clock [clk] to External in Gobal Channel [GLB-8], and have your wires the right way offcourse...
If your Virus syncs, it should not be Cubase...so...
Good Luck

Lots of cheers and respect to you for all your suggestions once again!I got very hopeful for a second or two and then actually even more confused straight after. When I connect the prophecy(Midi IN) to the Midi OUT of my RME soundcard ,I now receive the clock(red light)from cubase flashing on the prophecy ,showing it syncs but then a distorted and out of sync sound plays while I trigger it via cubase. When I connect the prophecy(IN) to my extra Midi interface's OUT ,I don't get the flashing light showing I receive clock,it doesn't play in sync but the sound/audio that plays while triggered from cubase sounds spot on perfect. It doesn't matter which Midi cable (RME soundcard direct or Midi interface)I connect to my virus......everything sounds very sweet and syncs perfectly!Could it be a dodgy Korg Prophecy or does anybody have any ideas regarding this confusing matter???

I finally got everything sorted.....to be honest I can't really say what the main problem was.............it was basically everything that has been mentioned in this post already + going to the 'sync setup' in cubase and making sure that it has been set up correctly.Respect to all of you for helping.Anybody can pm me if they come across similar obstacles!!!
happy days! |
