I wanna use my Korg PadKontrol as a controller for a live act. I just want to be able to use it to scroll through columns of loops and be able to activate those loops with a pad on the controller as well.
Does anyone have a link to an editor librarian preset for this? I want to save myself some time so I figured I would post this before I tried doing it myself.

with ableton?
one way to do this is download bome's midi translator:
http://www.bome.com/midi/translator/
you can use it to intercept midi commands from your padkontrol and translate that to keyboard commands (up, down, etc) so you could do your navigation. it's fairly straightforward.
search youtube/ableton forums for phat controller. he explains how to set this up (with triggerfinger).
there should be plenty of info on abletondj and forum.ableton.com if you search for "mouseless."
hope this helps to get you started. it's been a while since i've looked into this, so maybe there are easier ways to do this now.

Yeah I'm using ableton, I'll check those out.
I was looking to see if there was a preset someone already had made for mouse navigation and clicks that I could just download, but if not, I'm sure I can figure it out with those. Thanks!

i'm pretty sure you can't do this strictly with padkontrol and custom maps, since you can't map midi to keyboard navigation/mouse clicks directly. that's why you need something like bome's app. without it, you will still be able to map your padkontrol to individual clips, but you will be limited to a 4x4 grid. with bome's app, you can map knobs/pads to keyboard strokes for up/down/left/right and then map other pads for play/stop/record. this way, you can navigate wherever you need. if you want to map something to actually open the browser and load stuff into clips, that's a bit more involved (although still very much possible).
really, give bome's a shot. it will only take a couple of minutes to figure out how everything works. and then it's up to you of how involved you want your set up to make.
