I think that MS2000 has nothing to do with MS20 .
They both from same company, but sounds very
different from each other .
And 4000nis for this toy it's a steal , for 4000 u can
get higher quality second-hand gear .
MS2000 it's a rompler * .
* rompler = rom player .

EZ,

Peace.

i know that one of the two aquired the other
but there is a noise + price difference between quantum and maxtor....

well there use to be my quantum drive is nice and quiet so any recording from mic's don't pick up the harddrive noise....

a year or two ago i had a comp with a maxtor in it and it was like a train chugging away..

anyway a guy i know brought over his ms2000 and it had nice bass and warm crunchy sound to it...not as sharp and metallic as say the nord....

Maxtor hard drives are notorius for starting to get bad sectors in about 2-3 years of work. Western Digital offer the best value overall. Check google for comparissons done by PC Magazine and www.tomshardware.com - that should give you all the information you need.

About the ms2000r - I like it's sound a lot. Very nice, if you know how to use it (then again, if you want a bassdrum bassline and just to scratch people to the ground, I'd go for something else).           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

TES -
try installing XP after u installed one XP on the computer... try on another drive.

maybe it'll work and u'll get the boot.ini on the C: drive - which will contain two XPs which boot from different drives.

try it -           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

The MS2000 is a very nice synth. It can do anything from cutting leads to deep bass sounds. Plus it has more of a unique character as opposed to the other virtual analogs. I've owned mine for about 1 1/2 years now. Only problems I have had are the arpeggiator and the mod sequencer are a bit off with timing. So they are a little bit unreliable for long live sequences(just retrigger the loops every measure or 2 and this gets around that). I just use it for recording into Cubase anyhow. The filter gets weird if you run the resonance up real high. Stupid digital filters. Other than that it is great. It is more of a synth to compliment other synths than and do-it-all work horse. If you have the opportunity go and play with it for awhile before making your decision. Also there is a yahoo egroup ( www.egroups.com ) that has hundreds of really nice patches for it. Can't remember the name of it.
It's moving so fast, it's standing still.
