ive got a blofeld too and have the same opinion that it isnt so bad but has really alot submenus,, i think having a synth with many knobs to control almost everything is very creative tool and inspires you more

Yes, i agree, while having to get through all the menus you can even loose the inspiration. Experimented with some Roland grooveboxes and finally sold them, though i liked the character of that old MC-505 hehe.

So, you say that blofeld has submenus, can it be managed from sequencer? I thought it is something like Virus TI Snow, when you can operate it like vst.

Hey the Sh32 from roland is a nice groovebox as well i was lookin at some videos and it sounded interesting.

Tsabeat somehow the Microkorg dosnt really appeal to me , i find the Ms2000 more solid but maybe you can share your experience on the microkorgs features , anyway i guess im gonna pickup the ms2000 anyway having already pciked the microq. The Roland v-synth will have to wait till i really can bleed my pockets hehehe...

LiquidMetal i dont think the Blofeld works like the virus ti snow , it has a usb interface but thats only to transfer midi and audio like virus ti , otherwise editing is on the box itself

yes unfortunately they dont have made an editor for blofeld , would be fantastic to have one, especially for those big pads that need a lot of parameters to be controlled, its so much better to watch all the values together, i get lost sometimes inside the screen of it

yea and smokin pot dosnt help the situation...heheh

I wonder if waldorf after being reinstated by GmBh have their original staff or changed?
I hope waldorf are lookin to provide a good editor for their new synthies or even a GUI with touch interface like the roland v-synths would be cool

the Micro Q is no where near the sonic quality of the big Q Q-rack, they are both working on the same algoritms digital code but the internal hardware is very different. the Micro Q is build on much less quality Motorola chips and with less DSP internal power, the converters are somewhere ok.

the Q, Q-rack are build to the original Q spec and sound much better then the MQ.

if you could strech to the q rack you will have way better synth sonicly with much more processing power. the Micro Q was considered a fall from Waldorf.

also take a look at the Mopho or Blofeld, both are very uniqe sounding synths.

Congrats! it is very cool synth and im using one as well in my studio together with many other synths. you can hear "freekshow" that i posted in other thread, the bassline there is the MQ paired with A-design reddi DI, experiance with processing on the little MQ, it can do anything the big Q can but needs a little push to his sound.. enjoy it! theres a reason im keeping it here with the big boys. i never thought of selling it.

i thought you had made that bass with the Q+, the big one, seems like reddi push those lows incredibly good and round, its one of the best bass ive ever heard imho

whoo thanks for kind words, actually me and my partner are working on a new track atm, same bass from the MQ with the Reddi, lfo pitch modulation going all way with the bass 1 octv up and down.. and im very impressed the reddi is just blowing it off dosent matter how low or high the bassline goes.. it eats up Avalon U5 DI any day, i rarly touch it.
