according to your myspace track, the waldorf fits you better.
also consider novation nova at that price range...

yes i really liked the emulated sound of the Korg Ms20 thats why the ms2000 consideration but then also i very much enjoyed A1 which was designed by Waldorf. Then again i figured tweaking the MicroQ is gonna be a bitch but what da heck hehe

I believe the Korg only has 4 voices right?
The Micro Q goes up to 16.

Yes its something like that . The microq has a 25 voice polyphony to the ms2000's 4 voice but i really dont find the need to use that many voices cuz i dont do very complex sounds such as lush expressive pads that require more voices. Take for example the Nord Micromodular which is a 4 voice only yet its a beast in its own right , it has a tone unique to itself . I use the virus for many sounds but somehow i prefer to use this for those special distinct sounds which stand out in the mix. I personally consider the tonality as well as the modulation capabilities of a synth then anything else

To me it depends on what kind of sound you want from the synth. Haven't tried any of waldorfs. About the korg: can sound pretty similar to analog, dirty, industrial :) Adding some effects gear can lead to interesting results.

which Korg are you talkin bout? I got the waldorf and once again it has its own sound , programming this isnt as bad as i thought even tho its got alot of sub menus to look at. Prolly the Ms-20 or the Ms2000 would be bout the only korgs i would go for ,nothing new from korg impresses me. These days im checking out the Alesis Ion, Roland V-synth gt/Xt , the capabilities of the v-synth is simply jaw dropping , the sampling techniques etc
What are your ideas on these or any other synth you enjoy working with

how about micro-korg
it uses the ms2000 sound engine + the korg classic vocoder.
it only looks less , its actualy more.

personally i enjoy my nord 1 more than anything, once i found a guy was selling a MS20 for 1200 euros, far too expensive for my pocket unfortunately and ive heard that the MSW filter is from the best ever made, ive got a blofeld too and have the same opinion that it isnt so bad but has really alot submenus,, i think having a synth with many knobs to control almost everything is very creative tool and inspires you more
Someday when ill have the money (lotto, heist etc ) im gonna get a waldorf Q+ or the stromberg when its out, its a real beast
If you like the Ion check the micron too, its maybe smaller but has more capabilities such the reverb and step sequencer, i think it has more things than the ion and some developers have made a vst editor for that, i was thinking about it again but decided to go for the mopho because of the analogue circuit and sound
i think Logic Bomb write a lot of their stuff on a MS2000, especially basslines, its very beautiful too, and has so many stuff to control, just saw today someone sell one for 500euro (MS2000b)

I'm talking right about the subj, MS2000.
MS-20 is the analog one, haven't tried it. Well, using analog machines in psy-trance production is another story. Good for finding your own sound as i can see it. And useless if you're into some full on stuff for example (imho).
