The MS2000 is a great synth. Has a great sonic character and I love the chorus on that unit. Having said that, there are only 4 voices so you will have to record everything to audio quite often to free it up. I kind of miss selling mine at times.
As for the price, $400 seems high in my opinion. You could probaly find a Clavia Nord something in that range or a Novation of some sort that offers more voices. Then again, I haven't checked on hardware prices in a long time so I could be way off. I usually guage the price against what the current prices are on eBay. Search back through completed items to see what they have been selling for.

another question>
is this synth going to give my tracks something vst instuments arent capable of???
more specifically , is this synth capable of making better and fatter leads and pads or fx, than for example albino 3 or predator????
or should i be saving for something like virus B C or a new CPU???

In my opinoin that is difficult to say really. Hardware and software have reached a point where they are exactly the same to me. Just tools that can be used. What is great in my opinion might be entirely garbage to someone else. Just like a computer it comes down to the person using it and not the machine itself. You can put the latest, greatest, fattest synth in the hands of a beginner and it can still sound horrible.
I checked on eBay and the going price for MS2000 Keyboards are around $400 at the highest, so since that is the average on the highend price I would suggest trying to find one that you can play with and demo a bit. Get really into what the machine can do and decide from the sounds you can make.
One of the bueatiful things about newer technology is that almost all of the older stuff drops in price. They get cheaper and cheaper. I bought my MS2000R new when it first came out and sold it a few years later. I only sold it because I had bought a Novation Nova for $1000 and there was already another MS2000R at the studio. The MS2000R only fetched $360 back when I sold it (1/2 the new price) and they can be found around $250 now. The Novation Nova can be had for around $300. Hell, the sampler market is hitting rock bottom. You can find samplers that were $4000 new for $200 or less now all due to software. There are always more synths popping up used and at great prices.
I seriously suggest working with any synth you plan on buying first. Really demo it and find out whether it fits your needs. I personally don't buy equipment all that often anymore. When and if I do, I look into highend effects processing equipment. In my opinion those are the items that really make or break the sound.
