hello guys ,
a friend of mine is really to sell this synth to me ... so i just want to know ... how is it good for psytrance ? and should i buy it ...??
is it really worth the money and time ?
please post your experiences with this synth if you have ever worked on this synth or come across it ....

i buy this synth befor 4 years (and i sell him very quickly)
my advice is to buy else synth.
i dont know how much he want about it maybe the price is worth,but new synth is preferable on it.

Cant you just try it and see if it fits your own needs? We cant possibly know if its worth the time and money because we dont either know what are your skills or how much you are gonna pay for it...
It still sounds pretty simple to me.. If I was about to spend money on a synth I would go around, try a diferent ones too... and decide wich one I enjoyed most workin on, and the one that would be more worth to have for now. |

yeap its a good one nice sound and nice seq can do some nice weirdenes with the delay fx and good leads come out of it
very easy to tweak your own sounds and very easy to fuck them up to
can produce some nice fx pads
but limited to and doesnt sound so fat like others in the same price
if you want fatter sound in that price range go for novation products ks rack or keyboards same price better sound 1 more osc more tweaking and definately better fx unit
overall nice synth but i would go for a softy one korg legacy is far better especialy with the ms20 replika controlller

That's what I paid for it, new, in the US.
Personally it's the last synth I use, after Albino2, Synth1, Z3ta, and my Kurz K2500. I don't think I've even used it in a track yet (sad). |

yes 600 is too many...
i just bought one on ebay for 350 and its like new. always check the net when buying something! look at the prices from different country's...
nothing is more anoying when you buy something and hear afterwards you could had it for half the price
for the sound of the korg ms2000 i ca tell you that it sounds great if it is what you are looking for
always tryout yourself before buying! |

but if i can spend 600 USD on a synth , then which one do you guys recommed ?

i think you can get the jp-8080 for under 600 USD. in my opinion, its similar to the ms-2000, but better in a few ways. of course, this is all my half-assed opinion. i honestly cant decide if i want to invest in the ms-2000 or the jp-8080. i have heard great things about both and wonderful samples from each.
i'd suggest one of those two.
