Find this very good machine . Comfortable and friendly for the user .
I realy like the korg family use to work with the 'LegacyCell' , 'MS-20' ,
'Polysix' , 'Wavestation' . Most of my work i like and prefer the 'LegacyCell'
(For mello pads or backround atmosphere).
Any 1 maybe know where i can find more new korg's ?
(Or names so i can looking for) . Thanks in advance . Yoko .

Used to have a hardware M1. The vst version was a joy to fire up. Sounds really good. I don't feel as bad for selling it now |

The old legacy collection with the controller for the MS-20 is great. Nowadays they only sell it without the controller but you can grab a used one.
At the moment I have a emx here, which is amazing for sequencing other gear. I'm not sure if I gonna keep it, cause the integrated sounds and synths are not that good. BUT it has a great sequencer: you have 5 individual parts (for monophonic sounds) and 1 sequencing part for a drummachine (with 9 parts).

I don't doub that there are differences in the sound. I haven't heard a hardware MS-20, but according to various reviews of the legacy edition the sound is very close to the original one. Cosidering the going rate of nearby 1000 euro for a used MS-20 the vsti version in combination with the controller is a good bang for the money. And the MS-20 is monophonic, the software MS-20 can be up to 32 voice polyphonic.
However I would not mind having an original MS-20

Hi, I think you misunderstood.
I wrote that I DON'T doubt that there are differences in the sound.
Analogue synths more or less always sound different.

sounding very close but it s subjective, what is close to someone isn t for someone else that always the problem when reading the net or reviews it depends the experience of the user, i guess it s easy to make the hardware sounding different, maybe they just tried the oposite, getting them as close as possible in sound and then say yes they can sound alsmot the same, but don t get me wrong i think it s a great va |

"Very close" is relative, yes. I agree that it's subjective.
I wasn't referring to any net users but to reviews on sites like vintagesynth.com, soundonsound, tweakheadz, amazona... and I assume that these reviewers know their gear. At least I hope so
Anyway like you said it's a great vsti.

man never trust magazine reviews...all products are great according to them .
but they may be right they might sound close on some settings...but one is a va the other is analog...just for that it s sure they wont sound the same on some settings to me when you know to what to listen to..even 2 ms20 dont sound exaclty the same.
also for psytrance and experimental stuff you won t stop at simple patchs like mr oizo flatbeat bassline.. you would use settings that va don t do great (if not at all )for crazy wild sounds i guess but i heard the real one years ago so i can say much...on extreme stettings the real one might sound different imo (fast modulation , high resonance and saturation and maybe many more thing ) |
