unfortuately there's no separate board for korean trance. i will start informing korea psytrance scene to world people in here. if this is irrelevant, please let me know.
because of language barrier, not many people join in this community (i also have in trouble with english). and i sometimes saw some wrong information about korean electronic scene. i understand it and i think it's korean people's fault.
so i will try to post some news of korean trance scene in here in spite of my poor english. thank you.

Last year Korean Psytrance took a big step towards popularization of Psytrance. there was one psytrance production - shevaka so far. but in 2005 two more production joined in this scene. almost every month, there were only psytrance parties, and psytrance dj's were included in line ups of many parties.
because of time, money, etc, not many psytrance fans visit japan and kophangan, tailand. moreover because psytrance scene is really small, we couldn't invite international djs but dj young (italy), full moon mondo (japan), etc... but that's okay.
people whose taste was changing like as from trance to progressive house, got interested in psychedelic... one of hot topics of electronic scene in 2005 was "why psytrance in 2005?" ... i expect this year will be much better and all psychedelic guys from the world root for korean psytrance scene.

i am not sure i mention all psychedelic dj's in korea. i am not sure their styles but i just write down styles they played when i went to psytrance parties.

Congratulation and welcome .. it's always good to see more cultures joining the love for psy, I wish u luck in your actions and I'm sure it won't be long till U get lot's of international artists playing in south korea

Yeah the scene is just starting to take off and it's looking good. Although ive been to only one party (psytemple) because i come to korea during holidays off uni, it was a pleasure to be there for psytemple organisation's first ever party! I could tell many people turned up who's never really heard of this music, and all i saw was surprises in people's faces. Looking at funky psychedelic decos, bang'ing music and us koreans, we can party! Definately postive vibe going on.
There is also strict drug policy set by the goverment in korea, so chances are slim to none of finding most drugs. Well, they dont cut your hand off or anything like that, but something like 3 yrs in prison for smoking a spliff!
But I think this is actually a good thing. A start of a psychedelic scence without drugs, but people still loving the music and vibe (and they were!), all pure and postive. Not saying drugs are bad, but interesting to witness a psychedelic scence grow without drugs.
Oh yeah, message to dj's and artists'; korean girls are very nice, all you good artists should come and play live and spin, and check out the girls |

He already played in korea about a month ago. I heard it was a good party and DJ young also left a message on psytemple forum how much he enjoyed the party! (must be the girls )
