hey guys ,
how you'll doing 
ok guys here is wat the scene is ...
i load kontakt in the vst instruments , create a midi trk and assign kontat to it ..
now i configured kontakt to give me 1 setero out and 16 mono outputs ..
but the thing is tht as soon as i assign kontakt to the midi trk , kontakt automatically opens up 16 + 1 channles in the mixer , even while i may not be using all of them .... and suddenly my mixer becomes very messy .... coz so many unsued channels lying around
so is there a way , to configure kontakt , where by it will only open up mixer channels for those outputs tht im currently using and not for all the outputs
u know guys , i like to work clean

You could try to make the mixer-strips narrow by pushing the >< button on the upper right of the mixer-fader. At least, that's what i did |

me too but its just as much a matter of having to as wanting to .. i mean u can never get enough screen space even with a dual monitor setup .. what i sometimes do with multi out vstis is just set the attributes of the various channels i dont require to 'can hide' in the sx mixer .. gone .. tidy  |

I always hide all the channels of Kontakt (and Battery etc) that I'm not using... press the small down-arrow above the fader and at the bottom of the list of options that appears is an entry "Can Hide". If this is ticked, the channel will be hidden if you choose not to display hidden tracks (the bottom icon in the group of icons to the left of the channel strip which depict which classes of tracks to display). Every time you use a new Kontact channel you'll need to untick it's 'Can Hide' option.
