kontact and fm7 , couple of questions!

Hey folks,
does anyone could answer for me those questions please:
kontact (sample from Native instruments):
how do i send just one output channel to my mixer (i am using cubase) instead of the 12 by default? I even hv readed the kontact manual but dont remember seein this function mencioned (my manual is in image format, so no chances of doing a search. =) I just use one channel of it and this plugin is making my mixer way to crowdy with those 11 channel mixer strips sparing..to many obsolet channels !
The other question is about the FM7 vsti (also by NI). I couldnt figger out how do i modulate the cutoff frequency and the ressonace funcions in the filter section.. i dont know but the sound doesnt change whenever i try to modulate those parameters.. is there any thing i am missing there? It is not suppose to change? it is kind of boring make automation without tweaking those knobs.. as u know..

Kontakt: this is something that is not 100% nice on this vst. Older versions of KOntakt had this feature, but NI changed cause of too many crashes.
Nowadays KOntakt comes with "pre defined" numbers of outputs. My version has 8/16/32 chanells. So, for bassline stereo I need to use the 8 option. So, 6 chanells will be free(At Kontakt manual, it says that if u hide the unused chanell, the pc performance will not be changed);.
FM7: Be sure that the filter is actually routed at the matrix section.
