It is a nice sound card that works without any trouble (at least for me). No idea about the quality of the pre amps though. |

i have konnekt24 and i like it so far. i've had it for a while, but only now began to use it since they just released 64-bit beta drivers (so i'm beta testing for them). i was using m-audio omni pre-amps before and compared to that i think the preamps in konnekt are better (guitars sound fuller a bit). however, i can't run anything with buffer being anything less than 128. with the m-audio card, i was able to drop it to 64. so there's a bit more latency with the konnekt.
good hardware, but extremely slow driver development/updates.

I once considered this soundcard 1 year ago or a bit more... but then I went to the TC user forums in order to see what people there say...
It was a shock. They were mad, almost, there was a lot of anger because people were so disapointed with broken soundcards that got replaced by broken soundcards and no updates and no support from TC.. maybe they fixed it now. don't know.

i don't think there are a lot of issues with their hardware at this point. but there's plenty of complaints and shit talking about the support and driver development. people have been begging for 64-bit drivers for almost 2 years now. i bought mine used right around the same time i went to 64-bit vista and so i couldn't use it (until now...).
freeflow, i read a lot of good things about profire on gearslutz. people seem to be pretty surprised about the quality of it for the price it goes.
