Some of you know this already, of course:

If you are currently using Waves L2, stop doing it This is the best limiter I have tried so far. REALLY transparent and nice sound! Good price too.

Im just playing with the demo. Im comparing it to L1 nad TLs Maximizer (freeware) wich ive been using for a long time. I think its better than L1. Im using an unmastered psytrance track to test them.

I must say that I think that TLs Maximizer wins!!! By far actually. No matter how i set the release the MPL-1 just pump in a very nasty way, while TLs Maximizer sounds more calm and unstressed BUT at someplaces in the track the TLs Maximizer distorts while MPL-1 doesnt and vice versa! One place both L1 and MPL-1 distorts while TLs doesnt!

Maybe the MPL1 is good for more slow music. Dont know but Im very happy with using TLs Maximizer for psy "mastering". And its free!!!

You are welcome.

Just remember that its my view on the MPL-1. It would be nice to hear what other people think of MPL-1 compared to other limiters.
I think im going to test it again but without stressing it as much as i did.

PoM: Voxengo Eelphant is very good. It is actually cleaner (less harmonic distortion) than the L2. (Also less distortion than the L3 but that is to be expected).
