kitchy means shitty or whatever cheesy, my favorite word

yes, in fact my album can be seen as soft music. this is not an product for people wanted to have straight "speed" emotions. i wanted to release different layers of energy, induced by different "media" than tempo and megabassline, please notice. it should't be a surprise for all of you. anyway im happy that my music is not TV sitcom kitchy but only retro-pop kitchy what a relief.... cheers!

actually I misspelled it.. it's kitsch. and the way that I thought of it is not really shitty or whatever cheesy.. more "camp". read the part of this article called 'Postmodernism': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitsch

I think that's the closest to what I was trying to say.

Hi Mr. Kino Oko, I didnt mean cheesy in a bad way, I like Dead Birds...!!! And i dont think this album is kitschy at all, kitsch always kinda means "in bad taste" to me, this album for sure has very good taste, thats why i also like the cheese on here, because good tasting cheese is yummy!!!           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

hehe, this conversation is between you guys. i know what was ispiring me and which direction inspiration came from so now is your turn to judge! im very allright with any comments so dont affraid to say what you have on your mind, straight to the point. im on the scene like 10 years and ive heard many tracks in my life, went thru many styles. my album is my manifesto, this is how i percive this music and what i want to give you - what is the best in trance music in my opinion. and again i want to say and strongly underline that i use realy wide variety of possible mediums how to create this music. generally this is quite interesting thing to discuss: for some people listening to half-musicaly hardcore speed fullon trance, all the rest of the trance or el-music is seen as a soft, cheesy or whatever nonacteptable music... having something MORE than 145 bpm, obsessive bassline and repetitive rythm + creazy random sounds is preceiving as something soft, even bad sometimes. by my album i want to say big "NO". This "MORE" is something i dont want to kill in my music and this "MORE" is something i want to strongly develop, to create different reality for listeners, not only for dancers.          www.kinooko.pl

I don't think the difference between 'hard' and 'soft' is in the BPM. There are some tracks that aren't very fast but are still not 'soft'. I think it's more about the overall feeling elicited by the music. and neither one is better than other - it's all about the subjective personal taste and mood of the listener.

in any case, I have respect for what you are trying to do, since you always seem to have a unique and independent approach to music making, and that's the most important thing, imo.

It's awesome - one of the best albums released this year!!! It's very hard to place this album in one place - it's definitely not full-on, it hints on progressive, sometimes on minimal or tech-trance.

There's something out of everything and I think that just makes this album so strong - it's diverse, but still somehow very coherent in sound and style. One more thing, it's stylish - I think that's what some people above meant saying it's kitschy. Yes, it has this kitschy aesthetics, but I know it was purposedly done.

I don't know how he did it, but this album, even though it's packed with melodies, doesn't sound cheesy at all. And the production in marvelous, though I'm sure there will be some guys critisizing it just like it was with Bigwig's album. I love it!

Best tracks: Atomic Corner, Born Without Soul, Well Done and Man Upon The Rainbow.

9/10

Lost Entertainment = CREATIVE, UNIQUE, and flat out WICKED!

short summary: atmospheric, slower (seemingly), spacial, good production, creative sound fx and synth work.

I'm definitely not stuck on one style of electronic and I loved this album for what it is. Whether you want to call it psy, prog, techy, or WHATEVER, all I know for sure is that it's Lost Entertainment and I'm glad I found it ( haha, get it? :- | )

My fav track is the first one because of the overall atmosphere.

KINO OKO if you were here I'd shake your hand and buy you Pepsi for coming up with something new that I also enjoy. Good JOB!
