Electro is one of the coolest genre of electronic music
basically it's all about a return to the 80's and the "new-Wave" style,with fat analog sounds from vintage synths.
most of the inspiration comes from Kraftwerk,
New Order,Depech Mode etc.
here are a few new examples-
THE ADVENT
MISS KITTEN & THE HACKER
CHOCOLATE WEASEL
ANTHONY ROTHER
LITTLE COMPUTER PEOPLE

personnaly, i just dont get it, sounds like the 80's had a bad nightmare and came back to persue us, but thanx anyway, its for a friend. |

see if you can get hold of a dave clarke mixed cd called 'world service'
clarke is one of the uk's best techno and electro djs and the 2nd of this two cd set is extremely good electro music.

Look for Hex-Static's double cd , the second cd with wicked animations by "coldcut" as i remember ,
i think this is one of the best created new electro stuff . |

on the internet you have mp3.com ,
Give some respect for the artists !
Go and buy original CD's !
and people will buy your releases (if you produce your music) .
